Thomas Preston Nixon

Looks like Paraunchy something Nephritis? Should I just put Nephritis?

9/30/2019 at 10:21 AM

Pareunchymatous nephritis

9/30/2019 at 10:50 AM

Billie June Keaffaber, I put Thomas in the "Died from Nephritis" project. You may want to add the info from the Death Certificate in the About section. (If you had difficulty reading it, then others will also.)

Patricia Ann Scoggin,

In what project would I place George Gooderham Mitchell?

Kevin Lawrence Hanit, I'll work on projects for both Uremia and Kidney/Renal diseases today & add George when done.

12/10/2019 at 3:16 PM

Kevin Lawrence Hanit, the project for Uremia is done.

Erica Howton, I don't know where to put this project in the Cause of death portal... under "Organ failure", Renal failure??? Or should I go ahead and create a project for "Renal/Kidney Diseases" and put it under that heading???

I also had some problems in adding additional "related projects"... Has there been some changes in this area???

Is Uremia a cause of death or an underlying cause of kidney failure?

I’m thinking a sub portal for Renal / Kidney diseases is a good idea.

12/10/2019 at 5:23 PM

Erica Howton, yes it can be a cause of death, but I agree that having "Renal / Kidney diseases" as a project would be a good idea as there are many that could go under that heading in the CoD portal. I'll work on it tomorrow and once done, will put Uremia under it.

George Mitchell (see Kevin's note above) died of "Uremia (complication of kidney disease)".

Thank you for your input.

Patricia Ann Scoggin and Erica Howton,

George Gooderham Mitchell died of Uremia with the contributing cause being complications of polycystic disease of the kidneys according to his Ontario Death Certificate.

Certificate can be seen at the following Ancestry.com URL: https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/8946/32917_258632-02023?pid=40...

Patricia Ann Scoggin,

Patricia Ann Scoggin,

Sorry to be a pain today, but I need another one.

Is there any project for what this little girl, Charlotte Olive Gooderham died of?

Kevin

Kevin Lawrence Hanit,
Project for Bilious Fever is done & have sent request to add Charlotte Olive Gooderham to it.
Will work on Microcephaly next.

Appreciate the challenges the projects requested provide in finding appropriate info that will be of benefit to all members.

Erica Howton -- Again, where would be the best place to put "Bilious Fever" in the Cause of Death portal??? Under Infections or as an independent project?

12/11/2019 at 12:10 PM

Erica Howton I put the "Bilious Fever" project under "Fever" or should it go elsewhere???

12/11/2019 at 12:11 PM
12/11/2019 at 12:43 PM

Bilious Fever Looks like result of virus or infection to me.

12/11/2019 at 3:44 PM

New Project: Microcephaly -- https://www.geni.com/projects/Microcephaly/58383
This project will be in both the Cause of Death portal & the Medical Portal...

Why can't I add more than one "related project"??? I had problems with this project as well as when I attempted to add more for Bilious Fever.

Patricia Ann Scoggin,

I cannot find the Pancreatitis project to put James Henry Mitchell in.

I also don't know where to put Ethel Lewis Gooderham, who died of Hydrocephaloid at the age pf 6 months and 3 days.

Patricia Ann Scoggin,

Sorry to keep on posting these requests, but I do have another one:

I can't find a project for inflammation of the bowels, the cause of death of Harriet Anne Leys.

Kevin

Kevin Lawrence Hanit,

Ethel Gooderham who died of Hydrocephaloid would go in this project for Hydrocephalus: https://www.geni.com/projects/Hydrocephalus/49669https://www.geni.c..., which is under Neurological Disorders/Diseases. She could also qualify for the Infant Death project (under Age @ Death heading).

I will add Pancreatitis and inflammation of the bowels to my list of needed projects--2 are ahead of them...

12/12/2019 at 2:32 PM

Kevin Lawrence Hanit, I extended an invitation to add Ethel Gooderham to both the Hydrocephalus & Infant Death projects...

12/15/2019 at 10:54 AM

Patricia Ann Scoggin,

I cannot locate a project to put Harriet Helen Gooderham, who died of gastric ulcers.

So, what project would I put her in?

Kevin

12/15/2019 at 12:53 PM

Kevin Lawrence Hanit,
Look at https://www.geni.com/projects/Perforated-Ulcer-upper-GI/48395 to see if this fits... if not, then I will need to create a project for "Gastric ulcers".

12/15/2019 at 12:59 PM

Patricia Ann Scoggin,

That one will do.

Patricia Ann Scoggin,

I'm not sure where to put Annie Jane Dawes, who died of a brain abscess due to pneumonia.

Patricia Ann Scoggin,

Any updates on my previous requests?

I now have another one for you.

I have a young infant, Louise Edith Gooderham, who died of convulsions. I cannot find a project for it or just plain seizures. There is one for those who have Epileptic Seizures, but not one for what would be called in 1888, Convulsions.
