I have raised this before but am unable to find a solution. If Pieter died in 1764 how could he have a son Philip

Here is the baptism record of Philip. Date: 16 September 1770.
Parents are given as Pieter van Vooren and Susanna Cortje

I'd say we can be pretty sure that Philip isn't Pieter's son.

Thank you very much for the baptism record - the witnesses at the christening were Jan Human (son from Susanna Cordier 1st marriage?) Philippus Wilhelm Coen and Maria Susanna Coen.(the children of Susanna Cordiers sister Anna Maria Cordier?)

I have been unable to obtain Philips death notice but his wife is

The death notice is undated and was signed by J C Janse van Vuuren -why would he name his first son Petrus Johannes and not Pieter?

There is also a discrepancy with regards to the wills

So many questions -

One possible explanation could be that Susanna Cordier fell pregnant with Philip shortly before the death of Pieter. That would put Philip's birth sometime in 1764.

It could be that for some reason Philip was only baptised when he was 6 years old in 1670.

Finding Philip's death notice is probably the best key to solve the riddle.

I would like to get the more advise from Daan Botes here as well Sharon Doubell.
But the profile and the baptism is definitely of the same person and as parents Pieter van Vuuren and Susanna Cordier.☺
