Greetings,
I am new to the group and wanted to ask a newbie question.. how does one add their family surnames to towns of origin. Mine are:
1) Volpe family from Alia, commune of Palermo. oldest relative I have tracked is Vitale Volpe, born in about 1755
2) Culotta family from Cefalu. about 70km from Palermo. oldest relative i have is Salvatore Culotta, estimate his birth about 1820.

I still have family in Cefalu and Alia, we were able to have dinner with the Culottas in Cefalu last year, and plan to go back next year.

I have had AncestryDna, 23andMe, NatGeo/Helix 2.0, and FTDNA (Y-111 and Full MtDna) tests so far. My mother, 2 aunts, 1 cousin and my soon to be 101 year old grandmother have also been tested. the other family members took the AncestryDna test. I purchased the Ancestry and the FTDNA full MtDna test for my grandmother, that is still being processed.

Hi Mike Kelley

It looks like you got the hang of it.

Since you have tested at FTDNA, you can also link your DNA kit to your profile here on Geni. You can sign in to FTDNA and click on "Partner Applications" or you can view your Geni profile and click on the "DNA" tab. (Be sure to make sure you are signed out of FTDNA first so you don't accidentally link the wrong kit).

John
