I am trying to assist a client of mine with his maternal line. His family is from El Salvador. To date we have 5 generations of information for him and are examining documents to see if we can obtain information that goes even further back.. This is pretty exciting because with the back polymorphism T152C! at the HVR2 position, that means that somewhere between 5-16 generations, you all likely are connected. How closely related you are can be determined by the coding region polymorphisms. I would like to see if any of you have many ones in common with the 22 that my client has. Also, it would be interesting to know if any of you have family information that goes back further than 5 generations.

I am also curious to know if anyone has explored or learned more about the T152C! mutation in this haplogroup.

Thank you and all the best in learning about your family.

Hi, I have this mtDNA A-T152C! I am also trying to discover something else about it.
I was born in northeastern Brazil, in the state of Piauí.

Greetings! My mtDNA is A-T152C, my grandmother was born in El Salvador, however her maternal line goes back to Pueblo people in New Mexico.

It’ll be interesting to see what other areas A-T152C can be traced back to as more people get tested.

Wow that is amazing! We are from Texas and I’m anxious to learn what other things we discover as well.

How far back can you trace your maternal lineage to Texas?
