It does not look like a valid connection to me either.
The name Gilbert is associated with this Grant family, but the name Elizabeth Brooks does not seem Scots.
There are no parents listed in the profile notes & a hint he might have been an iron worker, which “could” mean associated with the works at Taunton ... and perhaps, then, one of Cromwell’s prisoners of war (I am now speculating),
Disconnected from parents. I’m not sure it should be locked without parents however, without more research into the Gilbert Brooks, of Rehoboth profile
Should read the profile notes more completely. Mystery solved - Gilbert Grant should be Gilbert Brooks, his father in law
——
In 1666 or 1667 he married Sarah Brook (or Brooks). Sarah was born 21-Jun-1646 in Scituate, Mass. the second of nine daughters of Gilbert Brook. Gilbert Brook left London for America in the ship Blessing in 1635, m. Elizabeth Symonds (b. 4-Sep-1628 Plymouth, Mass. d. 30-Jun-1695 Rehoboth, Mass.)

I will merge the bad parents into the good ones & then lock it up
