MR. WILLIAM BULLOCK.
The death of Mr. William Bullock occurred at his home, at Rocky River on Sunday last.
The late Mr. Bullock was born at Raymond Terrace on November 2, 1855 and was consequently in his 95th year at the time of his death.
He came to the Uralla district as a child. He later worked on several pastoral properties, including Winterburn, Gostwyck, Mini and Underwood.
He then turned his attention to mining and for several years owned and worked claims at the Rocky River goldfields.
The late Mr. Bullock was married twice. His first wife was Miss Lucy Kingdom of Rocky River. His second wife was Miss Annie Catherine Walsh of Walcha.
Deceased was for 50 years a regular attendant at Salvation Army services and was for many years a Salvationist.
He is survived by eight sons, William George (Woodville), Jack (Double Bay), Robert (Coffs Harbour), Leslie (Sydney), William (Uralla) and Ernest, Oswald, Victor (all of Tumut) and five daughters, Irene (Rocky River), Mrs. A. Hulin (Uralla). Mrs. T. Myles (Rocky River), Mrs. A. Huggins (Tumut).
The funeral service on Tuesday morning was conducted by Captain R. A. Wilson of the Salvation Army. During an impressive service at the Salvation Army Hall, CS.M. Claude Vickery sang, "My home is in
Heaven." A large gathering of relatives and friends attended at the Hall and later at the graveside where the soldiers of the corps sang the departed brother's favourite song. "At the Cross."
A memorial service in memory of Brother Bullock will be held at 7.30 p.m. on Sunday evening by the corps officer.
