David, maybe you’re hitting the wrong search link.
If you are working from a profile selecting the little link “research this person” leads to the MyHeritage database. Use the “search” window instead.
Or the “research” menu up top with selections for merges, discussions, etc and search
Or from your “home” page, “search people”
Or just this link to open up the Geni profile database
