Hello hello! I do not understand what this discussion is about... Thank you for your reply. Kind regards, Loreto Vargas

6/15/2018 at 1:50 PM

Mine too, through Eleanor of Castille, his daughter. What's the purpose of this chat?

6/15/2018 at 3:22 PM

Don't believe it just because it's on Geni. Research the line - without evidence linking two parents to a child for each link in the chain from credible sources (i.e.: not MyHeritage user trees) it is just there because someone 'clicked' it so. I have debunked multiple royal ancestral lines on my family tree that were due to childish idiots deliberately linking people together without credible evidence just so that they could tell their friends that they are descended from royalty.

6/15/2018 at 3:59 PM

Very obviously, there are credible sources for some of us and if the dymock blood works foe karherine middleton AND meghan markle, since we have the same ancestors...
Plus on my side, it's a straight patriarcal line from my grandad up to all dymocks of penley and before. So what's the problem ? Some of us ancient families were already there when the romans invaded.

6/15/2018 at 4:02 PM

Plus the dymock dna project shows that. West of England dymocls spelt dymock have tje sale dna as william the conqueror and are visibly cousins somewhere to pharaoh thutankhamon. Igenea soirces for the official search of descendants

When I came to this discussion, I figured she wanted to start a discussion where we show our lineage to him, not necessarily to boast, maybe just to compare, because none of us are going to have the exact same path to the same ancestor. I did not realize there was a debate about authenticity of lines and ego going on here. I posted my path to him, but now I'm not sure I want to be a part of this discussion. Here's one thing to consider, Dieter, and that is that nearly everyone on the planet is related to royalty along some branch of their family tree. The population was smaller in historical times and has branched out as generations have expanded the total population on earth. It's not so unbelievable that many of us are related to Henry II that you have to cast aspersions on the correctness of her line or her claim. Just saying.

6/16/2018 at 10:09 AM

Christy you are making as many assumptions as much as you are stating the obvious. The amount of people related to royalty has no relation to the actual SPECIFIC lineages posted in this discussion. I never accused anyone of boasting, although it is clear that there are some people here who get butt-hurt if you DARE question their 'royalty', which is laughable. I simply advised that people check their lineages, as many of the connections on Geni are based on dodgy evidence, and the boastful people connected to them are usually too lazy to check the lineage thoroughly if at all, and only too willing to accept questionable sources as evidence as long as it affirms what they want to believe.

And what are you on about with regards to "I did not realize there was a debate about authenticity of lines and ego going on here. I posted my path to him, but now I'm not sure I want to be a part of this discussion." You had to have read the previous replies before posting, and you were never part of this discussion anyway. If you are not sure you want to be part of the discussion then why did you participate in it in the first place?

6/16/2018 at 12:57 PM

It's not a question of criticizing someone's royalty. It's a matter of how some people constantly denigrate old families so their eventual royalty is swept under the rug and I believe in order to legitimize the actual family.

And all I'm saying is, their blood is not my problem.

6/16/2018 at 12:58 PM

But it would still be interesting to know why the Cabinet proposed Tudor to the Windsors ?

6/16/2018 at 1:01 PM

Let me recall you all a little story. It happened 25 years ago.

I called Windsor library. I was doing some research on the Dymocks.
I got through to an a very posh speaking lady who answered ( and to this say, it still feels insulting) :

" Dymocks ? Ooow, Dymocks ? They weren't peers. They kept pigs"

6/16/2018 at 10:27 PM

Well, keeping pigs was by far more noble than horse thieves and along our “royal” ancestry I’m sure most of us had some black sheep in the families.

6/17/2018 at 2:54 AM

Yes Graciela.

Most people had animals to keep then.

It's just how it was said.
And yes, we all have black sheeps. More than one often.
Our lineages are made of people who fought wars, who killed their own blood for power, some were right deviants or mad even.
And since our ancestors married within a same social group, it doesnt make things any better.
Which is why it annoyed me to be insulted.

Do you think this is the true basis of this line of origin? I doubt it.

Jessica Moira Sabine Christophe-Dymock I have just reviewed your line to Henry II and currently 80% of your line have no source documents.

6/23/2018 at 12:32 PM

Dieter, from me to my great grandad, i have the records on paper. From my greatgrandad to john and Ann Price, it's all on familysearch and from john to the ipstones/swinnerton, its recorded in england and also in France as i share my tree with some french noble families and my john is in theirs too. Then, the sources for the rest are both in Burke with the lineages for welsh families and in welsh databanks. It seems you have a problem with the dymocks. Our jaws have been the same for centuries. There are genetical traits that don't change. My grandad's bones are copycat to those of a living welsh dymock.

6/23/2018 at 1:30 PM

Jessica, I don't care about the Dymocks anymore than I care about you - this is not about you. It is just a surname after all - not everybody gets the same sense of self-importance from being tenously and round-aboutly connected to a royal Monarch as you do. This is about evidence plain and simple, as without it anyone such as yourself can make any claim they like and it will mean nothing. If you care as much about your 'family' as you claim, then do the research and make it available (this should be easy for you as you say there is a lot of it on familysearch.org). If you have those documents past great grandfather/mother I suggest you put it on Geni or risk having the curators cut the line. This is not MyHeritage - on Geni one person's false claim ends up affecting everybody connected to them. Your claim about the "Dymock blood works for karherine middleton AND meghan markle, since we have the same ancestors" is also bogus. Megan Markle's descent from royalty is from Edward III of England, which you are not descended from. I don't see any Dymocks here:
