Lisa Williford Funderburk, Genesis #AG314661C1 Done. That was a little tricky because I needed to clean up from the Gedcom, so I’m very glad you posted.
Emily Kent Marget Done.
That’s my trick for getting rid of zombies fast. Missed this one when I zoomed back up.
Sarah Partridge has hit Mega Merge (100 managers or more) so I’m adding to the project:

Here's another Tuttle issue -
Joseph Tuttle
has a mother who seems to have been deleted, but she still shows when you try to resolve duplicates. And the relationships are locked.
Erica Howton
Can you take care of this? Thanks.
Private User Re Joseph Tuttle I think after going through hoops I was able to get the half deleted profiles off this area last night. Please let us know if you find any more. It’s not to do with relationship locks - it’s deleting profiles that can get buggy in an “old” area of the tree, I think.
Hi Erica,
A huge tree surrounding the Peases was matched and mostly merged with no problem, but Samuel's parent Robert Pease is locked and could not be merged. See: Samuel Pease
Karl David Wright done.
Anyone can do this, actually.
Steps:
1. go to dup Mary Pease & her dup husband in another window. Edit out the crapulous text the GEDCOM brought in. Also match her name to the MP (she’s known as both Goodale & Goodell, put the other in AKA)
2. Clear out the crapulous text from dup Robert Pease, merge. Dup Mary & John are safely in your other window.
3. Go up one Gen from Robert to the real John & Mary, you may even get a blue tree match. Anyway, merge there.
Thank you so much for this merge. Not only are there way too many Peases, they are confusing & genealogically controversial. Luckily there’s an excellent study from Ian Watson of the Great Migration Project who got them sorted in 2006. So earlier references could be in error.
Correction: 1996 article, here: https://media.geni.com/p13/cf/57/d3/d0/5344483bde91b30d/three_mary_...
Thanks, Erica!
The issue I had is that Geni greyed out the locked-down Robert Pease in the merge pane (I use the flash tree still for this) and would not let me complete the merge. I tried merging directly and it put out the merge request you received. Whereas I heartily agree that editing out crapulous text is a worthwhile exercise, that wasn't quite where I got stuck. ;-)
In general, when merges against MP's are done, I make a strong effort to maintain the MP data, including spelling choices, so in general I just throw away other spelling choices. Bad me, I know.
Looking for help finding my 4th great great-grandfather "Archibald Johnson"
I believe that he was born in Scotland about 1750.
do not know when he came to America but died about 1821 in Kentucky, United States.
He had a son "John Franklin Calvin Johnson"
Born in 1791 in Raleigh, Wake, North Carolina, United States
Died MAR 1869 in Marshall, Saline, Missouri, United States
Trying to find when he came to America
Thanks
Found an old tree and merged your new tree in: John Franklin Calvin Johnson
Please add notes to the profile “abouts” with what you know so far, as specifically as possible. You’re working with quite common names.
Please unmerge - https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=73423566730. The 2 John Kents of similar age were confused with each other. There is another merge ine non-MP profile that furthers this confusion.
Emily Kent Marget take a look at John Kent, of Newbury now. I’m thinking he’s son of John, brother of Richard, who was the father of John ‘the Mariner’ Kent.
I’m basing that on this:
From https://www.werelate.org/wiki/Person:John_Kent_%2862%29
Will of "John Kent, Senr, of Newbury", dated 11 Mar 1712[/13], proved 11 Feb 1717/18, mentions wife Mary, son Richard (confirming to him gift of his uncle Richard), [this Richard ‘the Malster’ Kent, Sr. ?] daughter Jane Smith, son-in-law Jacob Tappan for children of daughter Sarah Tappan late wife of my son-in-law, daughter Sarah Thing late wife of son John Kent deceased, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Kent late wife of son James Kent deceased, grandson James Smith.
Erica Howton Thanks for sorting the two John Kents of Newbury who are close in age.
Chris did not realize that there are 2 same name people in the same town with similar birthdates. He feels badly about messing up. I reassured him that we all have made mistakes.
Emily Kent Marget Your Kent tree is extraordinarily complex, a bit controversial, highly confusing & was inadequately notated in Geni. I made a bunch of mistakes getting it to what I hope is right.
Which reminds me - can you take a look at the two extra wives of Richard ‘the Malster’ Kent
And review my postulated John Sr son of John brother of Richard?
Private User ROFLMAO
Erica Howton The Kents are Hatte Rubenstein Blejer's bailiwick. I have left the cleanup of that line to her. I will try to look at it later.
Lucy Kellogg (Sackett) and Lucy Kellogg (Sackett)
Her husband and daughter Huldah, too.

Samuel Straight and Samuel Straight are the same person.
Unfortunately, the first profile has a <private> wife. I have requested the managers to make her public.
