William Symons Was just disconnected from parents with impossible dates.

Can we get better information & source citations added?

Many thanks for any assistance.

This study is interesting about who his wife was not.

Mary Symons Was claimed by previous researchers as related to Lion Gardiner.

@ Erica Howton Ha! Thank you for messing with my Quaker Family tree! :) My 8th GGF I think, off of Phineas Nixon I believe. Interesting study, at least I had her parents blank on Ancestry. Now you have my interest.

Suzan Martin This tree saddens me a little because a good Biography has not yet been developed. Now that the wife and children look “best we know,” I hope to see more about their life and times.

My question to solve would be - 1) When did William Symons join the Quaker Religion. We all know George Fox was just at the early stages of forming the Friends 1642-1651 during the English Civil War. Even early times they were keeping records. I would first approach records in England for Symons Family if any being members early on. The English have wonderful records if we can find them. I've read several books about George Fox and his early and late life to get a better understanding of the Quaker religion.

Am I misinterpreting Symons Family History? It seems it's implying William Symons born circa 160 was a devout Quaker? If so, we need to find when he joined, there will be a record of this.

Pasquotank Monthly Meeting.

“Daughter Mary SYMONS married Arnold WHITE ABT 1668 in Albemarle, NC ...”

So the Symons were there by 1668.

“ The monthly meeting in Pasquotank was usually referred to as Pasquotank Monthly Meeting in the early records of other monthly meetings. About 1770 the name Symons Creek Monthly Meeting began to be used occasionally, and this usage increased until, by 1800, the name Pasquotank is rarely found. In its own earliest records the meeting was designated “a monthly meeting held at the house of Henry White” (or Caleb Bundy, etc.) A little later it was “a monthly meeting held in Pasquotank at Symons Creek” (or at Newbegun Creek, or occasionally, at Little River). Toward the end of the eighteenth century it became “Symons Creek Monthly Meeting held in Pasquotank County.”

To the profile. Profile view > Add media > documents > add as source > “tick off” the name at least so it shows.

My MacBook is in the shop, I'm stumbling through windows and worse case is all files with Ancestry.com are saved with a MacBook program.
I'm going back and not seeing the original documents, just notations of the many documents. Many of which were probably what you already have seen?

.. I want to see the original documents. The block is with this William Symons, past him I have many documents. We will find his birth records with the Church of England and not with The Friends "Quaker" monthly meetings. We know he didn't join until after this religion was formed after 1642-1651.
