As I interpret the record, they were not married but John Henderson acknowledged paternity of William.

Thank you for John Henderson, this seems correct with what we know and the DNA evidence - that is, that the hope for a direct connection to the Fordell Henderson’s is now ruled out. I locked the relationships.
