Were our historic ancestors Celts?

Thanks for your respond. A part of my completely haplogroup is R1b-M269-L23-CTS9219 ,according 23andMe i share the same ancestors with King Niall of the Nine Hostages. The most / all ppl here in the project are from NorthItaly and Netherlands. The traces shows me that this destinations are allways dominated with Celts Migrations .

Hi Ed, I realize this was posted a few years ago, but I do have the answer to your question, so I thought I'd respond in case you haven't come across it yourself by now. Our ancestors were a people the Romans called Suebi or Suevi, they first settled in the Elbe watershed before migrating to Portugal after the fall of the Roman Empire, then they crossed the Alps and settled from Southwest Germany all the way up to Sweden (hence the similarities between Schwäbisch and Swedish).
