The 17th daye of october 1664
In the name of god Amen I John Gellbert of the parish of Madderne in the Countye of Cornwall being sicke in bodye but of perfect minde and Memorie praise be given to god doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
Imprimis I give and bequeth my soule into the hands of my blessed maker and redeemer and my bodye to be buried in the parish Church of Gullvall
Item I give unto my sonn John Gelbert five shillings & unto his sonne three shillings
Item I give unto my daughter Welmett two shillings
Item I give unto my grandchilldren twelvepence to each of them
Item I give and bequeth unto Peter Gelbart when he comes to the yeares of twentye one five pounds if he continue untill then with my sonn James and unto his Brother James Gelbert four pounds if he continues with him to the age of twentie one yeares and not else
Item my desire is that my wife live with my sonne James as longe as she liveth and to have as often as need requires the use of a horse to ride with such things as maye be necessarye for her use and if it happen that she be disposed to live elsewhere that James my sonne paye her Sixe pounds a year & as after the desease of my wife to leave it to him againe as also one fielde of Land In Polmearewartha of the parrish of Zennor to her disposinge called or named parke an Crigoe
Item I bequeth unto my sonne James all my right and Interest of and in Edward Trithalls Land in Trithall within the parish of Gulvall I give allso all that land which I now hold by the demise of George Veale gent of Gulvall duringe my estate therein as all for all my right and interest in Vellin Noye and all my parte in the old stampinge Mill with all of my Maddern estate right and Interest in Newmill together with all goods and Chattells moveabell and unmoveabell

My brother-in-law, Oliver Pendar of Burian, Gent. and my brothers John and Thomas Gilbert of this parish to be guardians Assistants to my wife.

I, William Jebard of Tregifthen in the parish of St Just being sick and weak in body ... I give and bequeath unto my Executrex hereafter named my Purse my Girdle and my Key ... unto my Eldest daughter Jane the sum of £5 of lawfull British Mony when my Eldest son William shall arrive to the age of 21 years of age ... unto John my second son, £5 ... when he arive to the age of 21 years of age ... unto Sibbilla my youngest Daughter £5 when she arive to the age of 21 years ... unto Thomas my youngest Son £5 when he ... 21. I give bequeath and devise that part or parcell of land in Tregiftian the messuage or Tenement now in my possession, together with all my household goods, chattles, dues, depts, sum and sums of Mony of what kind or nature whatsoever unto Jane my well beloved Wife as my whole and sole Executrex ... during her natural life and after Expireation ... the same ... unto my Eldest son William, his Heirs, etc ... ... in Cause my Wife Jane shall hereafter Contract Marrage then she shall peaciably yeald up her Executrexship unto my Eldest son William and to turn out with only one shilling and he to be my Executor under the care and management of my Brother John Jelbard.
