What you want done? She is my 4 grandmom

Then she is a MRCA for us....I have many DNA/tree matches on AncestryDNA...I think the issue is the husband here ....hoping for a Curator to vet it and put it away safe and secure.....it is t even a distant grand .... hmmm I have to look at the original request Robert. Just don’t touch it please unless you have sources. Thank you cousin

Have not found her parents yet

John Baucom's will named his wife Rachel, No source known for surname Barker. Error made when people thought John was son of Nicholas

She was NOT the Rachel Petrie Barker b 1735 Baltimore MD, the daughter of Robert and Jane Barker. John Baucom father of Asa, Cader, Lewis and others had been assumed to have been born in Baltimore as the son of Nicholas Baucom, My Y DNA project proved that this John Baucom was NO KIN to Nicholas and John's parents were reported to be James Baucom and Frances Drake who came from England to NC,

If you remove her maiden name then you have to remove her parents. Can a curator please assist with this line?

You don't need a curator, you need an eraser. Rachel Barker, aka Rachel Petrie Barker Baucom never existed. The first person who posted that John Baucom's wife Rachel was this lady, made up the whole thing. Rule one for a genealogist: does the statement fit the time line.

John and Rachel oldest documented son was born NC 1750-1755 per census records. That would make Rachel born about 1730-1733.. Nicholas sold his MD property 1739 and acquires land in North Carolina 1742 and. John\s age, b 1725 at Baltimore would be 17 and Rachel's age 9-12;

Therefore John traveled by horseback or wagon train over 300 miles to Baltimore to marry some one he had not seen in over 7 years and they return 300 moles back to NC about 1749.,
Today we know that that there were two John Baucoms in NC John. son of Nicholas, haplotype R-M 269 and John Baucom, haplotype !-M223, husband of Rachel who never was in Baltimore.

Hi James E. Baucom Jr.! Yeah, the name keeps coming back.
If a curator MP's her, they can lock that name field.

Thank you so much for the MP flag, Erica Howton!
Jim has rejoined Geni in hopes to connect his DNA, so I DO hope the FtDNA connection issue will be resolved soon!
