I think that you will find that he is just about everybody's great grandfather. I was excited when I first discovered that Henry the second was my 22 great-grandfather, but I soon discovered that I am everybody's cousin so that it is no longer of interest. I am only interested in Grandfathers back to say 10 generations. Otherwise, the relationship becomes meaningless
Edward I "Longshanks", King of England is your 20th great grandfather.

He was feared, but known to be a Christian, a Just king compared to many other ruthless ones. If we really read the history of our ancestors we can learn much from their mistakes. Unfortunately, with this lineage I see my Berkeley - Ligon - deSpencer, they did quite a bit of evil things. Oh my!
👑Longshanks is my 20th GGF. I agree with Angela Mary Lee-Smith, no ancestral is meaningless. As for Longshanks being everyone's GGF is not factual, Brain and Linda. Some people may have a connection to him as an uncle, cousin, by marriage, or no connection at all. When we are connected by the 11th generation and backward, it does not make that particular connection less valuable or special.
