I have ancestor Hugh BArr shows up in Montgomery County, TN about 1800.(becomes Stewart County TN) No records of where he came from, HIs parents, his marriage or his death date and place. Birth dates of his children. All supposedly born in TN 1808, 1813, 1815, 1817, indicate a marriage date of about 1805. After years of research I proved his wife is Nancy Darby from Washington County PA. He is in the 1820 Census of Montgomery County with these family members plus MAry Rice Darby, Nancy's Mother, and a older male.maybe Patrick Darby, Nancy's older Brother. 1830 and 1840 census he shows up with and without the family members, mabe has two farms. Hugh never shows up on tax and voting list. He is sometime referred to as Hugh M. Barr in the census. He and NAncy disappear before the 1850 census of Stewart County TN.
