@Noah Whetstone married my gg grandmothers first cousin Marcilla Knight. That is my only connection to the Whetsones. I put in a little effort trying to find a link to the better known Whetstones from Orangeburg but was without success. I would think the German Swiss Historical society of Orangeburg might have information. There are the records of the Giessendanner Episcopal minister which you have likely reviewed. The History of Orangeburg may have a helpful mention of others.
