I wondering if there was a Tuberculosis outbreak in Marietta ohio and Cultler Ohio Area they 30 minutes apart and mother and daughter both died of Tuberculosis. Does anyone know any outbreaks in these areas.

Myrl Beulah Cunningham

I think there was an outbreak nationwide as the number of TB Sanatoriums that were built from the early 1900s to about the 1950s was astounding, 25 in OH alone.

Debbie,
I was wondering it had me curious to no end. I thought useally Tuberculosis very contagious as seeing mom and daughter year apart dieing of Tuberculosis I figure there was several outbreaks or something happening there.

Billie, I didn't even notice the original posts date, but for some reason it popped up as a new discussion, weird.

Debbie,

I found some Tuberculosis Sanatoriums listed in Pennsylvania I wonder if someone should make these projects.

I did some research on Google there a lot on why these Sanitariums were built how they functioned in treatment of TB Consumption ect. Maybe a Page should be listed on TB Pages with this information maybe something saying if you like more information on these facilities with link to page. And on the TB sanitarium page you could ask for volunteers to help find make projects for these faculties and put links for different ones.
