Dear Linda Zimmerman,

In response to your inquiry in the ATTENTION Curators, please assist discussion, I have extricated what I think are two different Graham families from David Graham.

This includes James Graham, 9th of Fintry, which was clearly incorrect as he was a Scottish lord and had nothing to do with colonial U.S.

I also unmerged David Graham, who as an Irish immigrant to South Carolina and married a Janet.

This leaves David Graham (1742-1768) and as the husband of Jane with three children: Judge John Graham, Joseph R Graham and Florence Patton.

Please take a look at the family as it currently stands. There is probably still work to do in David's tree.

Wow, thanks, yes there a still a lot of work, but few sources. I ran into it as I was working with the South Carolina family. I will add what I have discovered, and then maybe have you lock them so they don't get merged together again.

Again Thanks

Christopher Graham, of Bullpasture and William? Graham somehow reattached to another Graham family in the British nobility. This time it was to Sir Richard Graham of Esk, 1st Baronet. I disconnected and locked the relationships of the unknown Graham placeholders for his grandparents, as this appears to be a recurring problem for the Grahams.

Another Graham connection which I think might be incorrect is the connection between Jane Graham and her supposed father, Col James Graham, of Levens.
Col. James Graham is listed as having had 3 sons and 2 daughters. The names of his two daughters are Mary Graham and Catherine Graham. I am not seeing a Jane Neilson listed as a daughter anywhere.

This David Graham should be made a MP now.

Linda Zimmerman Done and I added some curator notes to hopefully prevent future confusion.

The profile looks very nice, but I have a question about his profile picture though. To me it looks like a photograph of David more than of painting. Photographs were not invented until 1826. The style of the picture also looks to me to be the style that I have seen more in the 19th century (sitting on the armchair), but then again I am not a expert on historical portraiture or fashion.

What is your opinion, does it look like a painting or a photograph to you?

Hadn't thought about that, Yes it does look like a photo, I am going to ask that same question of K Hash ( originator) the same question. Just hoping its maybe a photo of a prorate!

i have read your profile, and you are more than welcome to join any of the projects I have created to sort things out.

Again Many Thanks for your efforts.

Can I put another issue on this plate?

In my mail from Private User

Katherine "Helen" Graham

Katherine "Helen" Graham

Confusion looks like its related to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Graham-946

Lady Katherine "Helen" Colquhoun formerly Graham

Lady Katherine Graham, also known as Helen, is the daughter of William Graham, 1st Earl of Montrose and Janet Edmonstone. She married Humphrey Colquhoun of Luss, son of Sir John Colquhoun of Luss and Lady Elizabeth Stewart, in February 1513/14.

Erica Howton

Yes they look like the same individual to me. Although Helen is an unusual name for a Katherine to go by. Do I have your permission to merge your curated profile with Private User's?

Tamás Flinn Caldwell-Gilbert My preference is always take off my curating if there is a dup MP & give it to the other person. If I did a great note, update the other person’s note.

Helen and Catherine have been reunited. Katherine "Helen" Graham

Looking at her descendants, I noticed a couple of Colonial American immigrants whose inclusion among Katherine's descendants seemed suspect to me.
