Does anyone know if this Daniel participated in the War of 1812? A Daniel Pickering with a wife named Mary A. has a Navy record in the archives. They were a sea faring family when they lived in New Hampshire. I will have to send off for the records, but did not want to if it isn't our Daniel who ended up in Wirt County.
