My "Brick wall" is my 3rd great grandmother Peggy Daniel, never been able to establish her supposed NA lineage. I always heard she was from Brunswick county VA but could be Louisa County. Every Daniel(s) line I have run ends up without any proof of her as a child. This book you list interests me. Need to find out how I can read it.

Lloyd,
Imagine my surprise at finding DNA match on Gedmatch Gedcom trees to Daniel family and then which family. I just can find my place in family. I looked over tree listed no other surname fits in it but my Eliza Daniel and I found one loosy record on her only. Now stuff I finding suggesting Native American ancestry lol. I hope this other book may help. I only use it as reference though.

Most don’t like this book but it has Daniel as Native American like other book states.

The Daniel families of Virginia are one of the most confusing bunch to try to sort out, so many similar names and all in relatively close proximity to each other. Really need help in trying to sort this family out from some of the curators. Here are two Captain James Daniels married to two Elizabeth Woodson as an example.

Capt. James Daniel, of Albemarle County

Capt. James Daniel, of Halifax County

Lloyd,
I saw that I only going by parents and wife names on the documents. What I finding though suggest they Native American linked at least. Found those 2 references from different sources. I told couldn’t possibly be them but what many don’t get native Americans and they were listed as Black in Virginia and enslaved at times. Virginia a state that pretty hard to find Native American stuff cause some laws were put in place too. Read up on this guy. I would say there some truth to findings we just got to dig
