Robertson Advocate - Tue 14 November 1905 Page 2
In St Stephens Church, Mittagong, on Wednesday last the marriage took place of Mr. Walter Sheather, fourth son of the late Mr. James Sheather, and Miss Edith Bessie Penton. eldest daughter of Mr. H. C. Penton, of Mittagong, the ceremony
being performed by the Rev. E. Heffenan.
The bride was given away by her father, and was attended by Misses Florence and Amy Penton (sisters) as bridesmaids; Mr. W. Penton acted as best man. The bride was attired in cream silk voile, trimmed with guipure lace, the usual wreath and veil and a gold brooch, the latter being a present from the bridegroom. Tbe bridesmaids were dressed alike in cream voile, trimmed with lace, and picture hats ; they also wore gold brooches, which together with the bouquets were gifts of the bride groom. After the ceremony an adjournment was made to the residence of the bride's parents, where a choice repast was partaken of. Mr. and Mrs. Sheatber left by the mid-day train, en route for Springwood.
