It had been suggested that he was born in New Brunswick.
I am not finding anything showing that he was born in New Brunswick. However, I have found multiple sources indicating that he was born in Hartford, Connecticut. I have uploaded an image of his official marriage notice which shows him as being born in Connecticut although the marriage was in New Brunswick.
I don't feel that changing his birth location to NB would be correct.
