I am curious to know how it was determined that Edward's middle name was Elias? I have not seen any records that could corroborate this.

Thanks,

Mike Wilson

It is on his FindaGrave as well.

Maybe the memorial manager can give some info?

He does not appear to be the same as Edward G Wilson and he has NO parents attached at FamilySearch.
No parents on Tim Dowling's Geneanet tree https://gw.geneanet.org/tdowling?n=wilson&oc=7&p=edward&amp....

Mike has informed me that Edward's death certificate gives his mother the maiden name ROLAND.
Disambiguating and any help appreciated.
I had previously disambiguated Mary "Polly" Wilson and Mary Rammage McElmurry so now we have Mary? Wilson

I know that there was another Edward Wilson born in 1827 in NC. He was the son of Edward Wilson and I believe he married a Silver. He died in 1910 in NC. I believe he would be a cousin to my Edward Wilson (1827-1923). I think some researchers may be confusing the two. The tombstone for my Edward simply reads E Wilson. His middle could be Elias, but I have no record of that. The initial G has been listed in some places as well. I have no record of that. I will begin my research again in earnest. I have not worked on it for years.

Mike Wilson Can you attach a copy of his death certificate?
Also, since you have done a Y dna test and attached it to
Your profile, can you add any information about the Wilson men you match?
