Richard de Longboteham, Lord of Yorkshire - Richard Longboteham (Longbottom)

Yes I too have seen this
Some family trees I have recently seen have Richard De Longboteham as son of Richard II Plantagenet but all historical records indicate Richard II had no heirs. Much as it would be nice to be descended from Royalty I'm not sure why else people would 'stretch' the truth
I cannot yet find any proof as to who Richard de longbotehams parents are but if anyone out there can help that would be great
