Pleased to meet you here Carel,
our blood relationship is Fourth Cousin.
I’d like to thank you for recently merging smartmatches of my maternal grandfather Johannes Lukas Visagie, one of his daughters Esther Kriel, and one of his other grandsons Brian Visagie.
I am the son of Evelyn Visagie Smit (b. 1936-08-29) who was the last child of Alberta Enslin-172 Visagie who died just over a year later (1937-09-26) with Pulmonary Tuberculosis: Asthma
This is a link to her civil death notice.

After a 2019 merge of Alberta Enslin-172 Visagie and her husband Johannes Lukas Visagie there were however 8 children showing on Geni so we still have to do some merging of the children because they were only 4 as follows (in order of birth):
Esther Visage Kriel (1919-2008)
Irene Visagie Rose (1922-1983)
Stephen Visagie (1924-2001)
Evelyn Visagie Smit (1936 -)
{Carel I would like to ask your permission to collaborate with you on this part of our shared Enslin family tree}
merge suggestions:
Hester Visagie should probably be Esther whose married name was Kriel
Evelyn Visagie is my mother Evelyn whose married name is Smit
Rina Visagie should probably be Irene, whose married name was Rose
some background:
Johannes Lukas Visagie worked for the South African Railways, and later as a Rep for an animal feeds company (his area was from Worcester where they lived) to the Southern Cape.
My mother Evelyn Visagie Smit was not born in Worcester but in Richmond, Northern Cape so it is presumed Johannes Lukas Visagie-411 and his wife Alberta Enslin Visagie were there for a period of a few months for work during
1936 when my mother was born, and subsequently returned to Worcester, with Alberta Enslin Visagie's death just the next year (1937-09-26) her children were raised by Johannes Lukas Visagie's second wife Rosa Hermiena (Viljoen-1375) Visagie

My mother also often tells how they visited her cousins Vera Enslin (b, 19261214) and George Enslin in Beaufort West during holidays.
