I believe Sarah Barnett was the sole wife of Jesse Ruble. The following clues should be considered: 1) Sarah's father was Lewis Barnett (aka Lewis Bernard Sarron). Lewis died in 1790. The eldest son of Jesse and Sarah was named Lewis Ruble. James Barnett Ruble (son of Jesse and Sarah) named his one son Lewis B(arnett) Ruble; 2) Lewis Barnett's land was subject of a chancery complaint prior to his death. After Lewis' death in 1790, Sarah Barnett Ruble wife of Jesse Ruble was one of the name defendants being one of Lewis' three heirs; and 3) there is an indenture dated 1805 cited in the Doster Genealogy p.60 that indicates that the same Sarah Barnett is widow of Jesse Ruble of Jefferson County, Ohio. These suggest that Jesse was only ever married to Sarah Barnett.
