I am fully confident of the my part of Taylor line back to John R. Taylor (1861-1947). Union Francis Taylor was my grandfather, and his son, Joseph Robert ("Joe Bob") was my dad. His brothers Lyal and Samuel were my uncles. Before that, the line gets murky and heavily crowdsourced.
My grandmother Martha Elizabeth (Jones) Taylor authored "Shore Lines" for the Newburgh Register.
