Hello Hatte Rubenstein Blejer and Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087, in this case don't assume that the Master Profile is correct. He was born in Germany. I wonder if Jim Wile might have insight in this case.
Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087 - I would not assume either Find A Grave or My Heritage is correct, just a heads up.
I find WikiTree, when there are good references, to be better, but I prefer actual primary sources, if possible. Find A Grave is wrong a lot and My Heritage members have been copying Geni trees in huge numbers, so it's circular. Except with a recent family, when the family itself has created the tree, I discount both My Heritage and Ancestry.
Faustine Darsey on hiatus - thank you for the input.
Jim Wile I also did think of you here.
No, Hatte Rubenstein Blejer and Faustine Darsey on hiatus, lol I learned early on not to assume, “for it makes an a$$ of u & me” just saying that if the Findagrave memorial is incorrect, a message to the manage is quite appropriate and even responsible. I added a link to two sour es that are in the smart matches. Someone who is familiar with German sources is needed here indeed.
Perfect. We'll see if Jim Wile knows anything. In the meantime, I'll see if there are any reliable sources.
Okay, here's an example of a WikiTree profile that has good discussion for Michael Arbogast and apparently this is a controversy as to his parents were.

And note that the site www.arbogast.org has Michael and Catharina as the parents, which is what the WikiTree profile has as well, despite the caveat that there is no birth record and a controversy.

There is a relatively new website on the Arbogast family. The father, Michael's page https://thearbogastfamily.tribalpages.com/tribe/browse?userid=thear....
The descendants of 1732 Michael are in an additional book:
