I have traced my ancestry to Olav Andersson in Ringøy (born in Rote to a father named Anders Sveisson) in Kinsarvik using Aam. K. Bu: AETTAR-BOK for KINSARVIK. 1931/UTGJEVE PA EJGEN KOSTNAD. This branch of my tree runs through Rasmus Davidsen (b. 1801-Hjeltnaes), Sigrid Olsdotter (B. 1736-Torbla), Ola Gunnarsson (B. 1691-Ringoy), Gunnar Sjurson (B. 1659-Ringoy), Sjur Olson (B-Ringoy), to Olav Andersson (B-Rote). The account in the 1931 AETTAR-BOK for Kinsarvik suggests that Olav Andersson's father is Svein present in Ringoy in 1612.
The account that includes "Ola Andersson ble trolig født i Ljones i Strandbarm. Han døde på Ringøy i Kinsarvik i 1650. Han giftet seg med en datter av Magnus Skåla, N.N. Magnusdatter." clearly has a different origin for Ola (aka. Olav) Andersson who fathered Sjur Olson in Ringoy.
Is there trusted source material that connects Sjur Olson of Ringoy (who married Ragna Oddsdotter Olavsdotter and fathered a son named Gunnar Sjurson in Ringoy in about 1659) to a father named Ola Anderson who is the son of Anders Matsen of Ljones in Strandebarm?
I'd like an opinion on the differing source material.
