Anne Kristine Thode was also the mother of twin girls, born On March 8th, 1880 out of wedlock. I would love to find out additional information about their biological father. His name is listed on the birth certificate, baptismal record, etc as Jorgensen or some close variation of that surname. In this picture, (I am the original owner), Ane Kristine’s sister Andrea is sitting along with her mother Ane Johanne Jensen. Ane Kristine Thode, mother of the twin girls Kristina and Johanne Thode, (and eventual wife of Gregersen) is not shown.
My great grandmother was Johanne Thode. She was given up for adoption. Her twin sister (the girl standing in this picture), remained in the Thode family and was raised by the parents of Ane Kristine Thode. Johanne (not in this picture) immigrated to Iowa in 1905 to marry my great grandfather Erik Elisa Eriksen (also from Denmark).
