@vaughan Deacon
Dear Vaughan
I am interested in your reason for adding "Stuart" to Charles Frederick Warden's name? I know about the link with Bonnie Prince Charlie but have yet to find any proof. Have you tracked down any source documents for Charles Frederick's parents?
BTW, I am from the Major Henry Warden - Edward Minnaar Warden - Catherine Warden Edgecombe - William Edward Warden Edgecombe - Edward James Edgecombe line
I agree, Charles Frederick Warden was NEVER called Stuart-Warden, so please remove that reference.
The family legend about him being an illegitimate child of Bonnie Prince Charlie is not quite correct - he is a generation too young for him to have been conceived during the Jacobite uprising 1745-46. His parents could have been the right age for this to possibly be true. However, a direct line male descendant of his has had his DNA tested for a Stuart specific marker and the result was negative, so his father was not descended from Bonnie Prince Charlie. His mother may have been but this is impossible to test genetically. As yet his parents' identities have not been possible to establish.
Also please fix his birth year (ca 1765) and his death date (27 July 1806) as per the documents that have been attached.
Also, Charles Frederick Warden and Mary Cooper had 4 sons, please add them all correctly to his profile (at the moment one name is incorrect and the 4th is missing:
• Charles Frederick Warden (*29.03.1797,~07.04.1797,+29.03.1831)
• George Gustavus Warden (*15.08.1798, ~02.09.1798, +1840)
• Henry Douglas Warden (*29.01.1800, ~02.02.1800, +02.12.1856)
• Horatio Warden (*01.01.1803, ~28.01.1803, +07.1821)
Also, once the 4 children's details have been added correctly, please add a death date for the youngest son and his mother Mary Warden (nee Cooper) of July 1821. They both died on the same day of just days apart - see source attached to Mary's profile. Their deaths are likely to have been from a disease such a smallpox but the exact cause is not recorded.
