Some Believe Sir Roger de Puttenham whas the first to use the arms. However the College of Arms says it can not be proven. The College also doesn't recognize our Claim anymore.

I have found some proof that we are in fact armigerous. According to Norman Graham whos work was done after Andrew Moriartys work. We are Decendants of
Robert de Puttenham not of his likely Brother Richard.

At this time the College of Arms bases there belief off the Work of Andrew Moriarty. It is my belief that Norman Graham disproves Moriarty. This entitles the Puttenham family of Salem to quarter there Arms with the Arms of Warbleton.

There is only one person in our Male line entitled to the Ancient arms of Puttenham. This Would be the Oldest Male of the eldest surviving branch of the Puttenham/Putnam who are Decendants of John Puttenham of Eddlesborough. The rest of us in the surviving male lines would be or should be entitled to differenced Arms. A good example are my personal Arms used in my Profile picture. Dont take mine use the ancint arms and mine as an example to have your own created for your branch. Also keep in mind each country has different laws on Heraldry. Look into your country's laws before assuming arms. Because until we have the reaction of the authorities of Heraldry that is all we really can do. Unless you pay the College of Arms for new arms I forget the proper term.
