William's son William (c1435-1515) was not knighted and was not entitled to the courtesy title of Sir as he is not known to have held any public office.
The Margaret Sandys who married Sir Richard Bray was born between 1410 and 1420 and could not be the daughter of this William. She was the daughter of Sir Walter Sandys (c1375-1435) of East Cholderton in Hampshire by his second wife Margaret Erleigh. She married in about 1442 and her son Sir John Bray was born in about 1445.
