I believe while working on the tree someone tried to merge the tree there and deleted some of the connections I had moving the Hedde to the wrong placement and erasing connections I had input. I do not know much about the family history past my great grandfather-Arthur Comstock other than what I have found through old newspapers.
Well, keep in mind that Geni isn't anyone's personal tree. It's a collaborative world tree and many of us use it to find how we connect to certain people or lines. When unvalidated connections are on the line(s) we're tracing, it throws the kinship paths off or gives false ones. I use my personal tree on Ancestry to do the type research you're talking about and only add to Geni what I can validate. It would be better to disconnect those unvalidated connections so pathways aren't thrown off.
