Hi.
JRI POLAND has only the following entries: marriage list, school student list. I do not know if there are also birth and death records of the Jewish community. Does anyone know? There are records of the Catholic community that are in the Przemyśl Archive, and are available online. There may be times when Jews are listed on the Catholic list, but I do not know how to read it. In addition, the archives in Przemyśl have cases from the court that was in Glogow. There are also notary records that were in Glogwow.
See: http://www.przemysl.ap.gov.pl/skany/
If anyone knows more information, I would be very happy to share it for the benefit of all.
Thank you.

And they are not available online.

Interesting thanks. What dates are you searching? Have you looked at https://www.geshergalicia.org/ In addition to BMD they too have some school records. You may know more but as i understand the main surviving 19th century records are those the Rabbbis stuffed into walls and such like.

Hi Simcha....

I am on the same tack but I don;t know if my experience helps......my grandfather was born in1866 in GM and his Munich death certificate names his parents and JRI-Poland has their marriage. Then. I have tried interpolating who's who from the incomplete school records that you found, and a few records on GG (which are filed under Rzeszow.) and some helpful descendants who are still alive plus scraps of family records, But there's still lots of question marks.

When I asked professional researchers for help, they said the GM records just don't exist, but that was some years ago.

Maybe the way forward is tor everyone involved to try to rustle up their ancestors' death certicates and so contribute pieces of the jigsaw .

I wonder if a lot of youngsters pushed off from GM in 1870-1890 but whether they were pushed by something or pulled by the bright lights of the cities I don't know.

HI

I'm looking for FEIWEL BOHRER who was probably born around 1830 and lived in GLOGOW MALOPOLSKI until his death. The only thing I found is an inheritance order of his wife FEIGE HANE nee SOMERFELD who died in 1910 when he was still alive. I hired a researcher to photograph my inheritance order, which is in the archives in Przemyśl. I have no idea when he died, whether before World War I, during the war, and perhaps after it.
I found in JRI POLAND a reference to his and his wife's marriage certificate in 1854 and ordered a copy from the archives in Rzeszow but to the wonder of the miracle no useful information is written there. The woman's maiden name is not even written. Every woman is mentioned only in her husband's last name. I do not know who FEIWEL's father is and where he was born. I think he was not born in this town. I know his wife's family, SOMERFELD - was from GLOGOW MALOPOLSKI.
I enclose an example of what was written on the marriage certificate in English translation. Lots of unhelpful information, and no helpful information.

All five children of this couple lived in different places across Europe. My great-great-grandfather immigrated to Munich MAYER BOHRER, and only thanks to receiving registrations from the Munich police I knew how to look for his ancestors in GLOGOW MALOPOLSKI.

March 25th, 1854

Feiweł Borer Feige Hene married in the Registered Office and fulfilled their obligations topwards the Municipal Office, in the presence of Panów* Civil Officers: notoriuos (salutation) mayor Michał Grodecki, Marcin Chłodnicki, mayor deputy Wincenty Pad and Łukasz Kalkowski, burgomaster.
