I am researching the KUR (may actually be a longer surname, Gurvich?) family possibly from Berdichev. We have done the Big Y 700 test, and we have the pre-Luria genetic signature according to a deep Jewish DNA genealogy specialist. I am wondering how many KUR families might NOT be connected with the Ser Charlap family. Sorry it is a simple question but trying to find help with this has been challenging. We do have a small genetic match to people decended from

Thank you for any guidance.

My mother’s Kur family ( changed to Cohen when immigrated to Kansas City ) was from Nur on the Bug river. They are directly related to the Ser Charlap family.
Hope this helps. Marilyn Donsky Pailet , Dallas
