My great great grandparents Samuel Levy and Amelia Joseph and their 2 sons Sol and Leo were from Merzig. They came to New York in 1891.
Correction: Samuel Levy's father Moses Levy originally came from Aach, Germany. Samuel came to New York around 1887 and died there in 1891.
