Aaron Keith Hand, I'll have to disappoint you: because 'your' tree is connected to the world tree (and you are because I can see a relationship between you and me), then there isn't any longer a 'my tree'. On Geni, if you are connect to the world tree then other manager have access to all profiles and can update them (except for profiles set to private - but profiles born before 1870 that are deliberately set to private are seen as vandalism and curators will change them to public at the request of others).
So the way forward is collaborating: providing good sources will reduce the risk that others make mistakes and asking what basis other managers have for changes will hopeful help in finding a common ground (if that can't be found then you can always ask for the help of a curator to mediate or arbitrate).
I hope you will enjoy your time at Geni, like I do (through mistakes from others I sometimes discovered new things where I personally had been stuck for ages, so not all mistakes are bad).
[I personally don't have an interested in your tree, so you won't see me do anything.]
