John Rogers, of Deritend - Too many John Rogers

There were too many of lots of names...from successive sons' having the same name, to children's being named after deceased siblings, to children's bearing the names of aunts and uncles, not just parents and grandparents, etc., etc. Both John and Rogers quite common names, anyway..

I don’t think any immigrant to the Americas directly descends from John the Martyr, although many have tried to connect them.
