Wiki has his parents as Robert II Bristow and Catherine Wooley:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bristow-13

Robert Bristow and Catherine Woolley had the following child:

John Bristow, born 1649, London, England; married Mary Goodloe, 8 Jan 1711, Christ Church Parish, Middlesex Co., VA; married Michal Nicholls, abt 1679, Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia; died 13 Oct 1716, Middlesex Co., VA.

It appears to be well-documented

The only source I found mentioning mother Avarilla Curtis has no sources:

http://www.kyphilom.com/www/bristow/htm/r1449.htm

but it also only shows a son named Robert as a child of Avarilla and has this John as his son, thus her grandson. But then that would conflict with the paternal grandmother Jane Blanchard connected as his father's mother.

Wiki also has Averilla Curtis as this John's grandmother rather than his mother and rather than Jane Blanchard as his father's mother, but again...no documentation:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bristow-1149

So something is amiss with the female connections.

1) Where does Averilla Curtis actually fit?

2) Where does Catherine Woolley fit?

3) Where does Jane Blanchard fit?

Just came across this on Ancestry:

Surrey, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812 Source Info
Birth, Marriage & Death

Name Robert Bristow
Spouse Catharine Bristow
Children Arvilla Bristow

As you can see, this confirms Robert Sr. was married to Catherine (presumably the Catherine Woolley mentioned in my previous post. But the interesting thing is the daughter named Arvilla. This 'seems' to 'possibly' given credibilty to that Robert's mother having been Arvilla Curtis instead of Jane Blanchard. ?

At this point, I believe:

John's parents were Robert Bristow II and wife Catherine Woolley, which seems well-documented

John's grandparents were Robert Bristow I and wife Arvilla Curtis, even though lacking any actual documentation for Arvilla, I'm 'guessing' John's sister Arvilla was named after their father's mother.

Rorbert Bristow I's parents were John Bristow and Jane Blanchard.

That accounts for the placemenet of all the women and the reason it's off on Geni is that there is a generation missing - Robert Bristow II has been left out.

Robert I on Geni should actually be Robert II.

Robert Bristow I who was married to Averilla Curtis
BIRTH 1609 • Ayot St Lawrence, Hertfordshire, England
DEATH 27 AUGUST 1706 • London, City of London, Greater London, England

Robert Bristow II who was married to Catherine Woolley

Robert Bristowe II
BIRTH 1629 • Ayot St Lawrence, Hertfordshire, England
DEATH 29 AUGUST 1706 • London, London, , England

then this John who has a sister named Arvilla.

Leaving out a generation is why the women weren't fitting in their rightful places.
