Can you give an example profile? There are many different ways someone can become a manager, but I'd like to try to address your concern directly and can do that best when looking at an example.

Someone named OONA has been making herself manager on folks in my family. I have no idea who she is. Nor does she responds.

Because of her, errors are occuring.

Private User please give us an example of a profile that you manage which Oona has added herself to and you are concerned about.

Users adding themselves as managers is not in itself an issue, and everyone is entitled to make a mistake occasionally.

Either copy and paste the internet address of the profile which concerns you or if you prefer give their full name and year of birth and death. If it's quite a common name please also give names of an immediate family member or two.

Clifton Creede Shiverdecker is on.... but there are many others. This person seems to be collecting people...

When I look at the history of Private I see that you created the profile in 2008, Oona created a Duplicate in 2015 and merged it in the same day. That was more than 5 years ago, why is it suddenly a concern now?

As for the rest of what you've copied (it looks like your Geni Home page Newsfeed) there is a mention of Oona Collaborating with another user and several mentions of Oona Following profiles.

Following and Collaborating are legitimate activities on Geni and do not indicate any wrong doing by Oona. Perhaps these Help articles will give a better explanation:

If not, where did you copy them from?
Can you give an example of a Profile where there are errors because of Oona, and explain what those errors are?

Thank you for the clarification Lois, though it doesn't change my point.

I have stewed about this for a very long time... through 3 major surgeries and a stroke. CC Shiverdecker was my grandfather. He was cared for by my aunt and my mother; in fact, he passed away in the dining room of our family home. Removing me as manager does not change that fact...

My health has been a factor in dealing with this site. your cavalier attitude does not help.

I am on the site as time and health permit. I look for family.... and share with family. I am not in the habit of collecting names

Della, when I look at the profile of Private I see that you are listed as a Manager. When I inspect the revisions tab I do not see any removal of you as manager. Are you talking about Clifton, or another profile?

Private User - you are still a Manager of him, as Jonathan says.
You are not the Primary manager, but that really makes little difference.

Two of the four managers are not in your grandfather's Max Family, including the current primary manager, so if you really want, you can remove them as Managers of your grandfather..
