The father of Lloyd Jefferson Ashcraft is uncertain. The only evidence we have at this time is a mention of "A Duncan and Rachel Ashcraft" as Lloyd Jefferson Ashcraft's parents on his marriage certificate. There is no record of an "A Duncan Ashcraft" in northern West Virginia. It is possible that Jasper Joseph Drummond was Lloyd Jefferson Ashcraft's father, but the son took the last name of his mother since he had been born out of wedlock.
