As of this date, R' Y Kahana-Shapiro has 2 living yDNA descendants listed in GENI, the most recent born in 1998. yDNA testing of one or more of these descendants would be a valuable addition to this family tree's knowledge base. If a person reading this is qualified to make the test and is willing to do so, please reply to this discussion.

How may I check my DNA against his? His family was from the same area of Niasviž As my family was, I have tested on Ancestry and FTDNA.

I know of no way of making contact with the branch descendants of: Rabbi Avrohom Duber Kahana Shapira, Rabbi of Kovno I can only hope for the best.

I have. Many live in Israel where i am but there is no DNA testing here.

Before the war broke out I had no problem ordering a DNA Test from FTDNA to be shipped to and used by a (suspected then, thoroughly proven by it) 2nd cousin there. And she did manage to mail it back to FTDNA.
But I am not sure she can see her results while in Israel.
I know Geni does not show DNA Tabs to folks in Israel.
