There are actually currently TWO profiles for Frances Fonseca.
One can use the Requested Merge to see https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000003529572356
They are on Geni currently as sisters, each a daughter of Phineas Fonseca and Fanny (Busnach) Fonseca.
One is Private, one is Public. The Private one is shown as still living.
The Public one is shown as a wife of Solomon Lemon.
Neither have any dates or locations.
I question whether there ever was such a person.
Both are managed by
Private User and Private User
Phineas is shown as born in 1836, Fanny in 1841 and they undoubtedly were born then or very close.
On the 1860 Census they have one child, Rachel, and they are too young to have a child grown and out of the home.
On the 1870 Census they have Rachel and five more, on the 1900 Census they have a completely different set of five children - that makes 11, and accounts for all 11 of Fanny's children listed as living on the 1900 Census.
On the 1880 Census there are 9 children listed, some appearing also on the 1870 Census, some also appear on the 1900 Census.
None of the children on any of the four Censuses is Frances. On the 1900 Census their youngest child is 17 and Phineas' wife, Fannie, is 60. Unlikely any born after that.
The 1900 Census said 13 born, 11 alive. Was Frances one of the ones who died? If so, given she never appears on a Census, very unlikely she lived long enough to marry anyone.
I have found records that Solomon Lemon married two children of Phineas and Fanny Fonseca - Rachel, and after Rachel died, her sister Lizzie.
I have found no records of Solomon having a third wife.
QUESTIONS -
1) has anyone found any record of a Frances, child of Phineas Pimentel Fonseca
and Fanny (Busnach) Fonseca?
Does anyone know of any reason to believe they ever had such a daughter?
2) Has anyone found any record of Solomon Lemon having a third wife?
Does anyone know of any reason to believe he had a third wife?
3) Can anybody think of anybody this Frances might be being confused with?
4) Should we simply cut the Public Profile free and let her float as a totally disconnected singleton, or? What, if anything, can we do about the Private Profile?
