I have been using the same Tablet since November. I learned how to download pdf files and jpg files to my Tablet and then upload them to Geni as Documents. This was working fine, no problem.
Then suddenly the uploading part changed and in addition to being annoyingly different, it is no longer possible to upload pdf files.
I was thinking something went wrong with my Tablet, but now I see https://www.geni.com/blog/new-improvements-to-sources-on-mobile-dev... dated June 9, so I know the changes are due to changes Geni made.
Mike Stangel - Please fix so I can upload PDF Files again.
If a web page is a PDF, my Tablet downloads it, so I cannot use Capture, have to upload the PDF - but suddenly I cannot do that!!
That is major!! The rest below is not major, but ....
In that documentation - The image accompanying "Simply tap “Choose File” and select the option to take a photo."
Is nothing like what I see on my Tablet now -- what I see now is lots and lots of much smaller images than I used to see, so much harder to identify the one I want to be uploading. And no PDFs included.
"Browse" is upper left.
If I click Browse, then I get perhaps what I used to see, with PDFs included but they appear washed out and cannot be chosen.
with at the top 3 lines (indicating menu) and the word Documents.
If I click the menu bars, I get a side panel labelled "Open From" - first set is images and recent -- next set is Downloads and Drive -- third and final set is Gallery - Drive - Photos. No picture of a Camera, no words "Camera" or "Take Photo"
Before these changes, I could take a photo and then upload it from my gallery or photos if I had wanted to.
As far as I can tell, that is still the case, but it is more of a pain now.
