I am the mokopuna of Tamati and Mei (nee Tua) Kingi. We know our grandfather's name as TAMATI not Te Kano? Some or our uncles also knew their father as Tarawau so it gets confusing.
Arohamai introduction. My name is Dear Victoria Kingi. I am the eldest daughter of Thomas James Kingi. Dad was the youngest brother of 9 boys. Our grandparents had 1 daughter who would have been their eldest daughter however the korero goes she passed at birth and our grandmother went on to have 9 boys and those Kingi boys are well known in Whangaroa where our grandfather married.
