I interpret this phrase as Robert Jones, son of Elisabeth and Rev Rowland Jones, died without children in 1694. Correct?

According to Bruton Register he had buried his first wife, Elizabeth, Oct. 29, 1678. She was undoubtedly the mother of his two eldest children,
Robert and William, 8 to the former of whom he leaves his plantation of 400 acres at Pomonkey Neck, with remainder, should he die s. p. (as he did, Feb. 16, 1694), to his three younger children.
To William he leaves 200 acres on Chickahominy Swamp (with remainder to Robert and Orlando), and some silver given by his godmother, Madam Page. To his daughter, Anna Maria, 6,000 lbs. tobacco, and some silver. To his widow, Anne, he devises his dwelling and plantation, with silver plate, etc., for life, and then to go to her son, Orlando. That her maiden name was Lane we are inclined to conclude from the initials A. L., mentioned in the will as marking the silver bequeathed to her daughter, Anna Maria, and from the name Lane, given by Orlando to his only son.
So if I understand correctly, Robert Jones of Nansemond County is not the same person as Robert Jones of Pomonkey Neck as the former has been disconnected as child of Elizabeth Jones & Rev. Rowland Jones, of Bruton Parish
Additionally, the wife of Robert Jones (now of unknown origin) is seen as Rebecca Jones
However, she could not have been the same person as Rebecca West who was unmarried in 1709. The Jones were having children in Nansemond County beginning 1702.
Erica, it was so nice to read your analysis. My focus so far is Rowland1608, Rowland1644 and down the line of Orlando, so so far I cannot comment on the other but I would like to add some my findings.
NOTE: Because of so many of the same given name I am attaching the birth year to the end of the given name.
There are 2 Williams associated with Lane Jones, one born 1723 and one born 1746. If 1723 is real he would have been born when Lane was 16 and without any records of a marriage. One source is "A Concise History of the Introduction of Protestantism Into Mississippi and the Southwest" by Rev John Griffing Jones. Rev Jones is the great grandson of William1723.
Rev Jones, in the above book, describes his descendants back to and including William1723 and his wife Phoebe Courtney adding that they were of Welsh descent. There are no descendants earlier than William provided.
The Henly bible, per W&M Quarterly, only speaks of William1769, Lane's first and oldest child. I don't doubt that W&M is correct. But what about William1723? But I also believe there is a Lane child b1723, but only have circumstantial evidence of same. I have evidence that W&M has made errors, but have not found Rev John G to have done so. I have not yet read for myself what W&M Quarterly says but am ordering some issues, but many have said that this Jones line goes back through Sir Thomas Jones Knight and Dame Jane per W&M. This I know to be incorrect as a book written in England by English author John Rowland, indicates the Jones (Johns) line to stop ca1847.
Be of good cheer, stay in touch
