Possibly helping to resolve some confusion could be
NSW, Au record for ASHENDEN WILLIAM reference number 3706/1867 citing WILLIAM A as the father and ELLEN as the mother in ARMIDALE
Note the "William A"
Unfortunately, this record does not give a death age, anything >0 years would mean current death dates stand
...but also William A and Ellen as the pair.
ASHENDEN, ELLEN reference number 2786/1866 dead at AGE 80 YEARS DIED in ARMIDALE
This is not in alignment with Eleanor Ellen Ashenden, {Australian Immigrant} who, with the current details, would have been 74 at death.
Compounding the issue is that Eleanor Ellen Ashenden, {Australian Immigrant} has 2 husbands with the same name
William A. Ashenden, {Australian Immigrant} born 1799 Kenya died 1867 Armidale, Australia
William A. Ashenden, {Australian Immigrant} born 1793 UK died 1846 Armidale, Australia
