I've put some info in the about section, but I don't know if that clears it up any.

Are Johann Johanson and Johann Carl Friedrich Wachtel the same person?

I had a bit of a look around for a Johann Johanson or something like it marrying a Henri* and didn't find anything of significance in SA.

Add to this all that Johann Carl Friedrich Wachtel was DEAD at the time Arthur would have been conceived...

Maybe Henriette had a thing with (?)
Johannes Gustav Adolf JOHANSON
or
Carl Johan JOHANSON
who were also fathering children in SA at a similar time.
